Glass Prints

One of my partner labs offer them.  So I decided to try one out after all these years.

Their description: Image is applied to the backside of a textured 5/32” thick piece of tempered glass, creating a sleek modern look.

I was expecting something akin to frosted glass, perhaps a little pebble texture.  Here is what the texture actually looks like . . ..

And here is a closer look . . ..

At viewing distances less than eight feet or so, the texturing has a pretty dramatic lensing effect, rendering the actual image pretty muddy.

To say that I'm less than impressed would be an understatement.  To the point that I will probably remove the option to purchase these from the site.  Since this is tempered glass, I may press it into service as a cutting board.

I miss you, Pop.
