Ever have some random song, or just a snippet of one just leap into your forebrain?
When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
And dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped away
That song takes me back to when I was still in high school. (Summer of 1976, for the curious)
The girl I think of when I hear that? I didn't meet her until 2003.
One or two that read this may actually know her name. But she is gone now, and none of us is getting her back. (the heavy sigh would go here)
But the human brain is amazing at associating things, isn't it? That's how a song from 1976 brings back memories of someone who wasn't around until 1980 for me.
I will miss her always, just like my dear old da. :-)

Time for an update!
October is one of the good old school songs from U2. Before they sold out to Hollywood and the Don Draper types. I'm sure it's on Youtube somewhere.
Anyhow, I thought it was time for a seasonal (theme/color) change here as well. Since blue is an overwhelming favorite with folks, I went that direction.
This is also my first week back at school, so my brain has been back in the kitchen. I really want a Hasselblad CFV-50c, though. I could make some epic landscape prints with one of those.
Gotta finish that degree and get paying on that student aid first. Maybe by then they'll be around $5K. A guy can dream, huh?

One of the projects I am working on at culinary school involves creating menus and doing the math to see what it costs to make everything. So that's the introduction for the stuff in the rest of this post.
What is Motus, you might be thinking . . .. It’s derived from the Latin for inspiration or adventure.
A world cuisine restaurant
These are some of our favorites from traveling the globe. Let’s take a culinary trip!
~To whet your appetite ~
Rumakis with Dates and Bleu Cheese. They’re wrapped in bacon!

To quench your thirst, Motus recommends tea (straight, sweet, raspberry, peach)
However, based on a youthful affinity for Mountain Dew, we’ve formed an alliance with the Pepsi distributor and offer their products. (Pepsi, Mt. Dew, Sierra Mist)
Bon Appetit and stuff, y'all
